Fifth day

As of today everything was OK. But I'm getting bored.. Everyday read documentation until I want to fall asleep. After long time of reading my eyes easily gets tired and itchy. I think needs to check my eyes :(

Today we have a meeting. My director will call for meeting on the last working day of each month. Actually I think it is a motivation talk. He is really good in words and understanding. He also gets us ice cream. First time I ate magnum in the meeting. Really nice :D

He made a statement "There is no prefect software in production. We need to get out using a business way". Somehow I do agree with him. I have been in the IT industry for the passed 6 years and I never seen a perfect software in production.

He also tells us about our company direction and business. He explained to us about current project phase and how my colleagues have been through the phase. He asked us to enjoy now before we start the next phase or start building the next tunnel.

I need to start enjoy my life now, before I get work stress again :D

Fourth day

Since I join the company I always have lunch in the company’s cafeteria. Today my colleague asked me ‘Are you still OK with the food?’ She gets bored with the food after one week of working. As for now I am still OK with the food. The cafeteria is considered good as compare to other cafeteria I visited before. Here got variety of food and it’s cheap. Got chicken rice, noodle, set lunch, chap fan, bread, snack, sweet, chocolate and etc….

Next is the working environment here. The office environment is OK. The pantry and ‘ladies’ is very clean and properly care. Its only 10 meters away from my place, so near.. I'm happy :D People here also very ‘pat’. Always can see people walking around and chit chat (hahaha…).

Mmmmm.. Few more.. but not so sure it is good or not and its never happen in my previous company. Flexible hours… Relax environment… Having 3:15 break at cafeteria… Watching astro (any channel) in the office and the TV was on during office hours.. Watching astro outside the office area because almost every area in the building is with plasma and astro channel (limited channel).

The good thing is... in this environment, my team are still able to concentrate on their works, hardworking and try to finish their work early. In my division, average going back home time is 7:30 pm. But today my team when back at 9:30 pm because there are errors on operational jobs. The team is cooperative, once got problem everyone will stay on until the problem is solved. A good sign of team work and responsible people… I like :D

Third day

Today is my third day of work. We have a bowling session as a project event activity. Surprisingly, we were playing bowling at office hours. The bowling session was started at 1500 hrs @ Mid Valley. We were divided into 3 teams. Bad news is my manager has paid for 4 games :(

While playing my manager ordered some drinks and food. He also ordered bottles of beer. Huhhhh... Playing bowling and drinking. Most of my colleague also drink. Maybe I need to improve on my 'drinking skill'.. hehehe.. My bowling skill was not very good. My scores are 84, 72, 74 and 58. Last game was really very very bad. My hand was in pain and no energy to throw the bowling ball. I remembered 2-3 times I ‘masok longkang’ Hahaha...

My colleague was telling me usually the company will organise project activities like bowling, dinner and etc... I think it is because not many staffs in the project. Only around 15 staffs in the project. They told me few months ago they had a company trip to Phuket. All expenses are covered by the company. Wahhhhh.. so great.. so nice.. but I miss it. Wondering when and where is the next company trip? :D

Second day

Today is my second day of work. The environment is totally new to me. The IT departments have different different division and some divisions are being handled by third party. This looks weird to me. Maybe I never have been exposed to the "outside world". Welcome to outside world!!!!

People here consider friendly and but I think it still need some time to adapt to the environment. Last week I did come over to fill in some necessary forms. There is one guy smiles at me and introduce himself. That make me thinks about my x-colleague and he did that before to our vendor.. hehehe..

Today I was being introduced to everybody in the IT department. There is one funny guy passed his name card to me and tell me 'feel free to contact him'.. hahaha... The colleague here majority are Chinese. Here can see some leng chai. Maybe that's can motivate me to do my work.. Mmmmmm I think that’s motivate me to go to work and see them more... hahaha...

I was also being introduced as a Billing Expert. The word "Expert" is so scary to me. This means I must be able to solve all problems/ defects. My task is to support the billing portion. The billing application also works closely with the CRM. As compared to the previous applications I handled before this is really a very complicated and huge system. It is another big challenge to me. Hopefully I will be able to handle and will not disappoint anybody again.

3 simple dishes

Today I have cooked dinner for my sister and brother.
It has been so long I did not cook for them.
At last I got some free time to cook for them.
Only cooked 3 simple dishes but make me feel so great (hahaha... ).
